Doppeldecker-Schlepp

Dieses Foto eines Flugzeugschlepps durch meinen Sohn Austen, (meine LS8-18 ist im Hintergund zu sehen) hat meine Schwester Virginia Adams gemacht.

Es wurde auf unserem Club-Flugplatz aufgenommen, Owl Canyon Gliderport nahe Wellington, Colorado. Und ja, ein Drittel des Staates Colorado ist flache Prärie (obwohl wir ebenfalls hohe Berge haben!). Während unser Platz schon 5,500 feet (1,680 Meter) hoch liegt, war die Wolkenbasis über 19,000+ feet (5,800+ Meter), also genug Höhe für einen herrlichen Überlandflugtag.

This picture of me being "aero-towed" by my son Austen, (my LS8-18 is in the background in this case) was taken by my sister Virginia Adams.  It is taken at our club gliderport, Owl Canyon Gliderport near Wellington, Colorado. And yes, over a third of the state of Colorado is flat prairie (even though we have great mountains too). While our gliderport elevation is 5,500 feet (1,680 meters), the cloud base was 19,000+ feet (5,800+ meters), plenty of height for great cross-country soaring.
